British Secret Agent Photoshoot, with Sony Ambassador Hannah Couzens

The name's Cameras, Castle Cameras...

Friday 17th January saw us offer another superb workshop in conjunction with Sony and their star portrait ambassador, Hannah Couzens.

We themed the workshop around the wonderful world of British Secret Agents. Our venue for the day was the gorgeous Highcliffe Castle in Christchurch which made for a perfect backdrop to a cinematic style shoot. We were so lucky to have an amazing aray of props including an Aston Martin from J King Movements and Detailing and HWM Aston Martin, an Audi R8 from Poole Audi and a Ferrari from a private owner. We also had a genuine casino quality roulette table from Viva Las Vegas of Bournemouth and of course two wonderful models in Mark Beauchamp and Hannah Levitt-Collins (Hannah supplied by Daze Entertainment), with make up and grooming by Michelle from Make-up Artistry, London.

The workshop ran over the full day with an outdoor morning session and an indoor afternnon session. In the morning Hannah welcomed the customers with a bit about her and how she uses Sony cameras and lenses to create stunning portraits, using both natural light and her Profoto flash system. We moved outside and shot several setups, using all three of the amazing cars we had available to us. With Hannah's guidance, the customers had the opportunity to direct each of the setups to get the best from the scene and the models.

Moving into the afternnon, we took the setups indoors with the casino setup. Hannah used Protofo flashes to create a feeling of evening inside the castle. She talked about using the flash to create the look you want including some technical tricks such as high speed sync to bring the ambient light levels down.

The event was a great success with everyone taking away some incredible images.
