Our Terms and Conditions
Castle Cameras may change these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will take effect on the date they are posted to our site. You will be asked to read and accept our Terms and Conditions each time you place an order to ensure you are familiar with the most recent changes.
1. All orders placed are subject to stock being available, if any item is out of stock, it will be sent as soon as possible. If there is likely to be a long delay, we will endeavour to contact you to advise of this. If an item becomes unavailable, we will contact you to advise of alternatives and give you the opportunity to cancel the original order. All orders from the web can be cancelled provided we have not already shipped the goods to you.
2. Order Acceptance - the receipt of our email order confirmation does not constitute the acceptance of an order, or confirmation of an offer to sell. Additional verification of information may be required prior to the acceptance of any order. An acknowledgement of your order will be sent to you via email when you place your order, but acceptance of your offer to buy the goods will not take place until after the payment is taken and your order is processed. The contract will not be valid if the payment is possibly fraudulent or the website offer is clearly unrealistic in terms of price or description. Castle Cameras reserves the right to decline or cancel the order for any reason at any time up to the point of delivery. Clear pricing errors will not be honoured. A full refund will be issued as soon as possible.
3. Payment for the goods and delivery and applicable taxes can be made by any method shown on the website at the time you place your order. Payments are taken automatically by PayPal, or Opayo for Credit Card payments, when the order is successfully placed. We will refund the payment if we are unable to supply for any reason.

4.2 Goods will be delivered to the delivery/shipping address given when you place your order unless you are contacted by Castle Cameras. If you fail to take delivery we will try and contact you and re-arrange the delivery, we reserve the right to charge a further delivery charge if required.
4.3 Castle Cameras will not instruct the post office or DPD to ‘leave a parcel in a safe place’, ‘leave with neighbours’ or include any other instruction which deviates from the approved delivery address.
4.4 Every effort will be made to deliver your goods as soon as possible after your order has been accepted, however Castle Cameras will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you through delays in delivery. Castle Cameras will not accept responsibility for delayed courier or postal deliveries for any reason, including those caused by strike action. Payments made for delivery will not be refunded. Refunds for delayed orders will not take place until the courier company accept an order has been lost. In the case of Royal Mail this process may take several weeks.
5. Any claims for damage, faults and mis-shipped items must be made within 7 working days of receipt of goods.
6. You will have the option to withdraw your order for goods before they are shipped and also within 14 working days of the goods being received. In order for you to do this we do require you to send notice in writing (by email or letter) within 14 working days of receipt. The goods can be returned, in unused condition and complete in original undamaged packaging at your cost. The only circumstance in which you cannot withdraw your order is where you have used, altered or damaged the goods which you have already received, or in the case of software unsealed or damaged. Castle Cameras do not sell products on a trial basis. Customers are strongly advised to check suitability and specifications of products before ordering.
7. Our transactions are made in Pounds Sterling, so you may incur a commission or transaction charge from your card issuer. If you do purchase goods from overseas and then decide to return them to us and we agree upon inspection to refund for these, be aware that there could be a currency fluctuation on the refund you are given. This is out of our control and cannot be recovered from ourselves.
8. The privacy and confidentiality of your personal information is important to us. Therefore it is our policy not to disclose or sell this information regarding your orders and products you purchase to any outside organisation. Castle Cameras may use such information to communicate special promotions and offers to you by email or post, unless you notify us that you do not want to receive such communications.
9. EU residents pay the VAT inclusive price. Non EU/Exempt pay the VAT exclusive price. Castle Cameras is not liable for any customs duties that might be incurred when the goods are shipped. It might not be possible for us to deliver to certain locations.
10. All goods remain the property of Castle Cameras until paid for in full. Risk passes to yourself on delivery
11. Goods are not supplied on a trial basis. Where the purchaser does not want the goods they can only be returned at the prior agreement of Castle Cameras and may be subject to a re-stocking fee of up to 25% or £20 whichever is the greater. In accordance with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) regulations 2000, you will have up to 14 days to return the goods for any reason.
12. Prices are subject to change without notice - however, when an order has been placed we will always endeavour to honour that price. In the rare circumstances where we have to increase the price we will advise you and offer you the opportunity to cancel the order. Every effort is made to ensure that the prices shown on our website are accurate at the time you place your order. If an error is found, we will inform you as soon as possible and offer you the option of re-confirming your order at the current price, or cancelling your order.
13. Castle Cameras is not liable for any customs duties that might be incurred when the goods are shipped.
14. Castle Cameras total liability in contract, misrepresentation or otherwise arising in connection with the performance or contemplated performance of this agreement shall be limited to the price paid for the goods. If you are a business customer we shall not be liable to any indirect or consequential loss or damage (whether for loss of profit, loss of business, depletion of goodwill or otherwise), costs, expenses or other consequential costs.

17. On-line orders paid via Finance will only be delivered to the address authorised on the Finance agreement. Where courier is selected as a delivery option please be aware you will not receive any delivery notification from the courier company and there will be no alternative delivery options. Finance is only available to UK destinations.
18. Any cashback offer will be subject to terms & conditions which can be found on the relevant supplier’s website. Castle Cameras will not be held responsible for any failed cashback claim under any circumstances.
Warranties & Faulty Goods
If your product develops a fault within 30 days of delivery, new or used, then please contact our service team via email or telephone. The item will need to be returned to one of our stores with its original packaging, all accessories and proof of purchase. We reserve the right to inspect the item to verify the fault. We will either exchange it for the same make and model, or arrange a refund. This excludes items where faults have been caused by customer neglect, misuse, accidental damage or fair wear and tear.
If the fault has occurred within the first six months after delivery but after the first 30 days, you can ask us to repair or replace faulty goods. However, we can choose the solution to either send for repair or to replace. In the majority of cases, we will send an item for repair in the first instance. If the repair is unsuccessful, you can then claim a replacement or a full refund. Alternatively we will seek to agree a price reduction with you if you wish to keep the product.
After six months, unless you can demonstrate that the fault was present at the time of original delivery or we have previously arranged a repair and this has failed to resolve the fault, our liability will be limited to providing you with reasonable support to make a claim under the manufacturer’s warranty, where applicable.
In all cases we reserve the right to inspect the product and verify the fault and, if no fault is found, return the product to you.
Where a product is not covered by a warranty and/or proof of purchase cannot be provided we will instead provide you with a repair estimate.
International Orders
We are currently only sending orders to destinations within the UK and Channel Islands.
On occasion we are able to send goods outside of the UK if ordered via our E-Bay Shop. Please contact us if you would like an item added to E-Bay and we can then forward you the link to purchase. Please note that import charges and delivery are calculated through Ebay and we have no control over this. Prices on our Ebay shop may be higher to allow for associated costs
Voucher Codes/Offers
We will at certain times offer voucher codes that can be used on the website. These codes are entered at the checkout stage and will offer discounts or free offers. To use, simply enter the voucher code at checkout. These voucher codes cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. We reserve the right to remove these voucher codes at any time without any notification. If two voucher codes have been used incorrectly then we will use our discretion to use the best voucher for you the customer, provided it is still valid. If an invalid voucher code is used, the order will be processed in the normal way without the reduction the voucher would have given.
Pre-Orders
We often post information on new products on the website ahead of their launch in order to give customers the opportunity to pre-order the device. If we have stated in the description that this is a pre-order then it means you will place an order in the normal way with all your details and will give you the opportunity to get one of the first devices when the product is released. The deposit payment will be deducted from the price when the product comes into stock. You are able to cancel this pre-order right up to the date of shipment.
The price shown can sometimes be an estimate and whilst we try and make this as accurate as we can, it may change up or down before shipment. If the price does change we will inform you before shipment of this and give you the opportunity to re-confirm or cancel your back order.
Uncollected Film Processing
We will contact you once a film has been processed and your prints / negatives are ready for you to collect. We will hold your order for a period of 6 months from the date the order was presented for developing. We reserve the right to dispose of any prints / negatives that remain uncollected after after this time period.

Integration of the Trusted Shops Trustbadge
Following an order, the Trusted Shops Trustbadge is incorporated into this web page in order to display our Trusted Shops trustmark for buyers and the eventually collected reviews, as well as the Trusted Shops product offer.
In balancing the various interests, this serves to safeguard our legitimate prevailing interests in an optimised marketing of our offer. The trustbadge and the services advertised are an offer of Trusted Shops GmbH, Subbelrather Str. 15C, 50823 Köln.
Whenever a trustbadge is called up, the web server automatically stores a so-called server log file which contains, for example, your IP address, the date and time of retrieval, the data volume transferred and the requesting provider (access data), and documents the retrieval. This access data will not be evaluated and will be automatically overwritten seven days after your visit to the page.
Other personal information will only be transferred to Trusted Shops if you decide, after completing an order, to use Trusted Shops products or have already registered for their use. In this case, the contractual agreement between you and Trusted Shops applies.
