In a talk packed with information, inspiration, and technique Helen will share lessons from twenty years as one of the UK’s leading family photographers.
Covering topics including how to find and use light, to how to work with children, and how to use movement to compose unique pictures, Helen will show how creativity and planning help her to create beautiful images from the chaos of everyday life.
You’ll come away inspired to pick up your camera and armed with practical tips that will transform the way you take family photos forever.

Accessibility: The event is being held on the first floor of Otto Coffee House and Print with access only via a flight of stairs.

Helen is one of the UK’s most sought-after family photographers. Her timeless black and white images capture the joy of childhood.
Dedicated to telling stories by freezing a unique moment in time, Helen loves the energy, challenge, and creativity of her work.
Helen is a brand ambassador for Canon and has spoken at many industry events and prestigious venues including The Photography Show, Photokina, SWPP, and the Apple Store on Regent Street. Her work is regularly published in the UK and around the world.
This event is hosted by Canon, who will be bringing some of their latest equipment. There will be time to try equipment and the techniques Helen has talked about at the end of the talk.
