Seminar Title - Capturing the Natural Artistry of Seabirds

Join award winning seabird photographer, Rachel Bigsby, as she shares her approach to capturing the essence and natural artistry of seabirds, pole to pole.

Rachel Bigsby is a wildlife photographer whose genuine passion for nature and creative flair have driven her journey in the field; at the young age of 27, she has already won the 'Natural Artistry' category in Wildlife Photographer of the Year as well as the Portfolio Award in Bird Photographer of the Year. Rachel is a Nikon Creator, an RSPB Ambassador, a published photographer for National Geographic and a photography expedition guide. She has also featured on television many times on programmes such as Springwatch and The One Show. With no formal training, Rachel's career is self-made and she has carved her own path, honing her skills and artistic vision through relentless dedication. Her photography is not just about capturing beautiful images but about telling intricate stories. Guided by her extensive knowledge of her carefully selected subjects, she possesses a unique ability to anticipate moments and capture finer details and behaviours that often go unnoticed. Rachel’s images are infused with these, offering viewers a chance to see her subjects in a way that is both scientifically informed and artistically profound.
