"Pretty good for the money - sharp, reasonably bright, very portable and quite robust. It lives in the pocket of my dog-walking jacket. Minimum focus distance is slightly longer than I expected, but fine - if the bird is closer than that, I really ought to be able to identify it with the naked eye. "
