The LH-49 is a round lens hood developed specifically for the M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 60mm 1:2.8 Macro. This special lens hood incorporates a new innovative mechanism to slide down, when it is not needed. Not necessary to detach, just keep it on the lens and easily slide it down for transportation.

The LH-49 keeps extraneous light from entering the lens on backlit shots and is perfectly fitting to the design of the M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 60mm 1:2.8 Macro.

Using a lens hood helps prevent light from hitting the front lens element from the sides - reducing flare. Pictures taken with a lens hood fitted can have richer colours and deeper saturation.

A lens hood also provides some protection to the front of the lens.
